[2025 EAI-API-KEI Joint Press Conference] Results of the 1st Trilateral Korea-Japan-U.S. Joint Public Opinion Poll and the 12th Korea-Japan Joint Public Opinion Poll
The East Asia Institute (EAI, Korea), the Asia-Pacific Initiative (API, Japan), and the Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI, United States) conducted the “1st Trilateral Korea-Japan-U.S. Joint Public Opinion Poll” and the “12th Korea-Japan Joint Public Opinion Poll” from August 8 to August 20, 2025. The results were released at a joint press conference held on Thursday, August 28, at 10:30 a.m. At the press conference, EAI President Yul Sohn, API Director Ken Jimbo, and KEI Director J. James Kim presented the key findings of the survey. At a time when the strategic importance of trilateral cooperation among Korea, Japan, and the United States is growing, the survey provided an in-depth assessment of mutual perceptions among the three publics, their views on key policy issues, as well as longer term trends in public perception in Korea-Japan relations.
