The East Asia Institute (EAI) hosts two seminar series
as part of its educational program to nurture future public policy experts.

Korean Politics for Future Generations

Through the first half seminars led by leading scholars in Korean politics and active politicians at the national level, the program provides a forum for participants to discuss Korea’s political reform for the future. Topics range from the Constitution, power structure to political parties, electoral systems, judicial politics, and local governance.

The Future of Korean Diplomacy

Through the second half seminars led by EAI Fellows and leading Korean scholars in International Politics, participants will explore key issues in International Politics that future generations will face. Topics include the U.S.-China rivalry and the future of the regional order, North Korea’s economy and the future of the Korean Peninsula, changes in international security and economic order driven by advanced technologies such as AI, and strategic responses to climate crisis and other environmental challenges.
