The world was able to send North Korea a strong message in the wake of its fourth nuclear test in the form of the unanimously passed United Nations Security Council Resolution 2270. However, this cannot be the end of international cooperation on the North Korean nuclear issue as enforcement of the new stricter sanctions and negotiating a peaceful resolution for the Korean Peninsula are yet unresolved. To accomplish this, South Korea will need to strategically employ its middle power diplomacy initiatives in an effort to direct all actors toward common goals. pc   mobile
