The 2011 EPIK Young Leaders Conference is a conference organized by EPIK Spiders, an academic circle created by EAI intern graduates. The essay topic for this year is "Sustainable Future."

In October 2006, North Korea tested its first nuclear weapon putting into question the Roh Moo-hyun administration's engagement policy. Drawing upon inside sources from the Roh administration, Sungbae Kim examines the internal debates and policy responses to North Korea's nuclear threat in 2006.
U.S.-China Relations Briefing on Core Interests
This briefing seeks to identify the core interests of Beijing and Washington by using data from the U.S.-China Relations Series Statement Factsheets. In addressing the bilateral relationship, this briefing observes the behavior and reaction of the two countries on certain issues which are related to their core interests.

Korea Public Diplomacy Forum
The EAI together with the Korea Foundation held the Korea Public Diplomacy Forum on July 13, 2011, under the title of "Korea's Soft Power and Public Diplomacy." This forum discussed the research and findings from the book Public Diplomacy and Soft Power in East Asia, which was co-edited by EAI President Sook Jong Lee.

Applications for EAI Fellows Program 2011-12
Applications for the EAI Fellows Program 2011-12 are now open. This program offers selected fellows the opportunity to present seminars and lectures, based on an unpublished article on current issues in the region at two or more partner institutions in East Asia.
