Joo-youn Jung in "Rising China and the Chinese Public’s Security Perceptions," uses recent public opinion data of Chinese citizens conducted by the EAI and the Asiatic Research Institute (ARI) at Korea University to explore their perceptions toward major security issues.   EAI Fellows Program Working Paper Series No.34
EAI Fellow Yu Zheng compares the development models of China and India and considers why they differ so much considering that both countries are two similarly endowed high-growth economies. His paper "When World's Workshop Meets Its Office: Comparative Advantage, Institutions, and Foreign Investment in China and India" argues that China's authoritarian regime allows for it to push forward more radical economic reforms yet creates a credibility problem for the government. India, by contrast has the credibility but lacks the capacity to change the status quo.
