Democracy is facing many crises around the world. Given its successful democratization in the late 1980s and continued democratic consolidation, Sook-Jong Lee (EAI President/ Sungkyunkwan University) stresses the need for South Korea to take concrete actions towards being a stronger advocate for democracy abroad.
