  • 2014-09-01

The East Asia Institute is pleased to announce the selection result of the “Fellows Program on Peace, Governance, and Development in East Asia” for the academic year 2014-2015, made possible by the generous support of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange of Taiwan, and YBM/KIS, an education institute of Korea. The EAI Fellows Program brings together East Asia specialists with cutting-edge expertise in political science, international relations, and sociology for an international exchange program with the goal of encouraging interdisciplinary research with a comparative perspective in the study of East Asia.

With eligibility open to scholars all over the world, the quality of applicants was extremely high. Therefore, this year’s selection process was very competitive and particularly difficult. The Selection Committee, consisting of representatives from the five Participating Institutions and the Editor of the Journal of East Asian Studies, chose five EAI Fellows after closely reviewing each applicant’s submitted project proposal, CV, and references. The following lists the five recipients of the EAI Fellowship, with their affiliations and project titles.
