Cho, Hyung Jin  Co-Rep Director, Chorokbaem Media Co. Ltd.

Mr. Cho is currently a co-rep director for Chorokbaem Media Co. Ltd. Previously he served as a senior analyst at Himilaya Capital, a portfolio manager at the global investment division of Samsung Asset Management, and a strategic planning manager at Naver’s e-Biz department. Mr. Cho received a BA in computer science from Seoul National University, a MA in entertainment from Hanyang University, and a MBA degree from Columbia Business School.

 

Park, Kyungmee  Associate Professor, Chonbuk National University

Dr. Park is currently an associate professor at Chonbuk National University’s Department of Political Science and Diplomacy, a trustee at the Korean Political Science Association and the Korean Association of Party Studies. She has authored numerous works including (forthcoming, co-author), <한국 정당의 지도부와 당내민주주의>(2019, co-author), <지방분권 실현의 제약 요인과 정치적 대표성>(2018), <대한민국 국회제도의 형성과 변화>(2018, editor). Dr. Park received her BA, MA and PhD in political science from Ewha Womans University.

 

Sohn, Jie-Ae  Professor, Ewha Womans University

Ms. Sohn is currently a professor at Ewha Womans University’s Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS). Prior to Ewha, she served as the president of the Korea International Broadcasting Foundation (Arirang TV & Radio) and as presidential secretary of the office of overseas public relations. She also previously served as the spokesperson of the Presidential Committee for the G20 Summit, CNN’s bureau chief and correspondent based in Seoul, and as reporter for the New York Times. Ms. Sohn holds a BA in political science and international relations from Ewha Womans University and an MA in journalism and mass communication from Yonsei University.

 

Sohn, Yul  Professor, Yonsei University; President, East Asia Institute

Dr. Sohn is president of the East Asia Institute and professor at Yonsei University’s Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS). He is also president-elect of the Korean Association of International Studies for the 2019 term. Currently, Dr. Sohn serves a number of government advisory committees, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Korea National Diplomacy Academy, and the Northeast Asian History Foundation. He served as Dean of GSIS (2012-2016) and president of the Korean Studies of Contemporary Japan (2012). He has written extensively on Japanese and East Asian political economy, East Asian regionalism, and global governance. His most recent publications include Japan and Asia's Contested Order (2018) and Understanding Public Diplomacy in East Asia (2016), both from Palgrave-MacMillan. Dr. Sohn received his PhD in political science from the University of Chicago.

 

Hahm, Joon-Ho Professor, Yonsei University

Dr. Hahm is currently a professor of international economics and finance at Yonsei University. Prior to joining Yonsei, Dr. Hahm was an assistant professor of economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a research fellow at the Korea Development Institute. Until recently, he was a member of the Monetary Policy Board at the Bank of Korea. He also served as a board member for financial institutions including the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Woori Bank. Dr. Hahm has assumed a variety of advisory and consultative roles for the Korean government as well as international organizations including the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. Dr. Hahm received his BA in English language and literature from Seoul National University and his MBA and PhD from Columbia Business School.

 

Sun, Seunghye  Director, Daejeon Museum of Art

Dr. Sun is currently the director of the Daejeon Museum of Art, assistant professor at Sungkyunkwan University’s Academy of East Asian Studies, and an adjunct professor at Ewha Womans University’s College of Art and Design. She also serves as the director for cultural exchange at the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and director of curatorial affairs at the Seoul Museum of Art. She previously served as associate curator of Japanese and Korean art at the Cleveland Museum of Art, a scholar at the Tokyo National Museum, and a curator at the National Museum of Korea. She was also a visiting fellow at the Harvard Yenching Institute. Dr. Sun holds a BA and a MA in aesthetics from Seoul National University, and a PhD in art history from Tokyo University.
