As a part of the Global North Korea project, the East Asia Institute, with support from the UniKorea Foundation, organized the [Global NK NuclearSIDE Talk] 2020 East Asia Institute North Korea Reunification Strategy Discussion on 21st January, 2020. The purpose of this event was to discuss balanced strategies for dealing with the North Korea problem and suggest new policy directions in accordance with the framework of the four major strategies for North Korea proposed by the EAI (Sanctions, Engagement, Internal-transformation and Deterrence).
The debate was held by a panel of experts from South Korea, Japan and China who discussed the current status of the North Korea nuclear issue, the future of the Korean peninsula and the prospect of unification of the Korean Peninsula.
