As part of the Asia Democracy Research Network project, the East Asia Institute (EAI) participated in the 2021 Open Government Partnership Global Summit by organizing a session titled ”Participation and Solidarity of Asian Civil Society for the Rights of Foreign Residents and Refugees.” During the session, experts from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, and Korea participated as panelists. Panelists identified the problems and directions for improvement by analyzing the current civil society participation status of the four countries in protecting and supporting refugees and migrants.
