East Asia Institute (EAI) held the 39th Smart Talk Forum with Dr. Alon Levkowitz on Monday, April 14, 2014. Dr. Levkowitz is a professor at Bar-Illan and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and currently serves as the Asia Program coordinator at Bar-Illan University. At the forum, participants analyzed how South Korea’s Middle East policy has influenced its relations with Israel. They also discussed the implications and plausible ways for Korea and Israel to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the issue areas of security; “creative economy,” focusing on high-technology and venture industries; and middle power diplomacy.
