This book is based on the EAI’s research program aimed aims to release a report on redefining presidential roles and restructuring presidential power. This research is designed to gather knowledge and wisdom in society and political leaders’ experiences of conducting state affairs, and to integrate them into theoretical approaches.

This book is based on the EAI’s research program aimed aims to release a report on redefining presidential roles and restructuring presidential power. This research is designed to gather knowledge and wisdom in society and political leaders’ experiences of conducting state affairs, and to integrate them into theoretical approaches. For this purpose, the EAI hosts seminars and forums in which the former prime ministries, cabinet members, and presidential secretaries participate. Vigorous and lively discussions among scholars and politicians help to select critical agendas, basic direction and specific methods of reform to make presidential leadership more democratic and effective. This book contains a comprehensive set of policy recommendations for the reform of the presidency and its Blue House Secretariat.
