Promoting Good Governance through International Relations and Support
Asia Democracy Research Network | Events | 2021-05-27
The East Asia Institute held a workshop on May 27th, titled “Promoting Good Governance through International Relations and Support”, as part of the Asia Democracy Research Network (ADRN) project. Through this workshop, domestic institutions carrying out international support projects and scholars studying international democratic support established a network. Based on South Korea's experience in democracy, the panelists discussed ways to improve governance both domestically and internationally. There was a consensus that ODA projects must provide customized international support taking into account the current situation in recipient countries, instead of adopting a uniform support model.
