Apply for NASD Students Forum

The second Northeast Asia Security Dialogue (NASD) is planned to be held in Seoul in September 2009. This will be the second forum held since the first in Beijing last year. Participants from both countries will present papers and conduct discussions on “How to enhance strategic cooperation between China and South Korea over the future of North Korea?” through experts panel and students forum.

 

We are looking for graduate students currently enrolled in universities in Korea (master’s and doctoral programs). The NASD 2009 student delegates will be selected from graduate students through open competition. The final three participants will be selected through a first round application process and a second round interview.

How to Apply

 

Graduate students in Korea (master’s and doctoral programs) are welcome to apply. Interested students must submit the following no later than Friday, July 10, 2009:

 

· Resume in Korean (Please include undergraduate and graduate academic records, contact information, and email address. Short-listed candidates will be asked to submit a proof of enrollment.)

 

· Cover letter

 

· Research Proposal (Research proposal should be no more than 5 pages (A4) in Korean on the topic of “How to enhance strategic cooperation between China and South Korea over the future of North Korea?”)

 

Completed applications should be submitted via email to edu@eai.or.kr. Please include the heading [Application for NASD] on the subject line.

 

Results from the first round will be notified individually on Monday, July 13th.
