The 30th EAI GlobalNet 21 Forum
"The Importance of the US-ROK Alliance and Mutual Trust"
The EAI GlobalNet 21 Forum (Chair, Chaesung Chun, professor of Seoul National University) was held on September 22nd, 2019, with General Robert Bruce Abrams, who gave a presentation entitled "The Importance of Alliances." Chair Chaesung Chun moderated a lively audience discussion with over thirty participants. The main topics addressed at the forum were the importance of ROK-US alliance built on mutual trust and shared values. Since strong relationships are built on a foundation of trust and the nature of military operations requires a deep commitment to that trust, General Robert B. Abrams emphasized the speed of trust and the importance of free, open, and trusting communication.
