Meeting with Mr. Vikram Doraiswami, Indian Ambassador to the ROK

On Monday, September 11th, Mr. Vikram Doraiswami, Indian ambassador to the ROK, visited the East Asia Institute to meet with President Sook Jong Lee. The meeting, which was held at the ambassador’s request, covered a broad range of topics including the current security situation on the Korean Peninsula, regional actors and the changing Asian regional order, international trade, and areas in which South Korea and India might be able to strengthen their relationship. The ambassador and Dr. Lee also discussed opportunities for EAI to build relationships with Indian think tanks as a method of strengthening informal ties between the two countries by sharing ideas and cooperating on mutual issues.
