The East Asia Institute (EAI), in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, successfully organized Day Two of the 3rd Summit for Democracy. This event, focusing on "Youth and Civil Society," attracted participants from over 60 countries for 58 sessions to promote democratic values and discuss future cooperation.

EAI, in collaboration with the American Diplomacy House by the U.S. Embassy, organized the summit's largest youth session, "The Global Youth Town Hall." This event drew 300 attendees, featuring notable panelists and speakers. EAI also hosted a luncheon roundtable, "A High-Stakes Year for Democracy: Trends and Outlook," bringing together Day Two participants to engage in discussions about global opportunities and challenges, with a particular focus on the forthcoming 2024 elections. The roundtable was moderated by Ms. Jie-ae Sohn, ROK Ambassador for Cultural Cooperation, joined by civil society leaders and government officials from around the world.

Overall, Day Two of the 3rd Summit for Democracy witnessed significant participation, with over 700 attendees from Korean civil society, youth groups, international organizations, and activists representing various sectors.
