25th Forum 2000: Co-hosting the EAI-Forum 2000

As part of the Asia Democracy Research Network (ADRN) project, the East Asia Institute (EAI) co-hosted a session on Building Partnerships to Support Democratic Governance by Asian Democracies” with the Forum 2000 during its online participation in the 25th Forum 2000 conference, which was held on October 10-12, 2021. This session was an internal panel discussion session open to those who registered. The panelists discussed 1) How Asian democracies can transcend their democracy supports beyond the geopolitical rivalry, 2) strategies Asian democracies need to forge to go beyond the long-time held non-interference in domestic politics principle, and 3) areas and programs Asian democracies have an edge in building a partnership to support democratic governance.
