Forum on Preparing for Korean Unification
Events | 2012-05-03
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding, the East Asia Institute (EAI) held the Forum on Preparing for Korean Unification. This event, which was supported by JoongAng Ilbo and the Ministry of Unification, brought together a wide range of experts, scholars, and civic groups who all share a deep interest and concern for the reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
This provided an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and wisdom on how to meet the major challenges that the Korean Peninsula faces with reunification. Three sessions were held, the first was on “The Need for Preparation,” the second was on “the Significance of and the Means for Reunification,” and the third session gathered different opinions from across different age groups and cultural boundaries.
This event was held in collaboration with Korean Nurses Association, Korean Bar Association, the Korean Pharmaceutical Association, the Central Association for National Unification of Korea, Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation, the Korean Assembly for Reunion of Ten-million Separated Families, Education for Reunification Members Association, and Education for Reunification Association
