The EAI GlobalNet 21 Forum (Chair, Chaesung Chun, professor of Seoul National University) was held on September 22^nd, 2019, with General Robert Bruce Abrams, who gave a presentation entitled “The Importance of Alliances.” Chair Chaesung Chun moderated a lively audience discussion with over thirty participants. The main topics addressed at the forum were the importance of ROK-US alliance built on mutual trust and shared values. Since strong relationships are built on a foundation of trust and the nature of military operations requires a deep commitment to that trust, General Robert B. Abrams emphasized the speed of trust and the importance of free, open, and trusting communication.
