EAI launched a comprehensive archival website for North Korea-related documents on November 15, 2018. The site, called Global North Korea, is part of the institute’s ongoing research and policy development in the area of inter-Korean relations and the North Korea nuclear problem. It offers a hub for knowledge exchange on North Korea-related research.

The website aims to transform the current status wherein the majority of research and strategy towards North Korea is led by the Western world and restore a more balanced approach towards research on North Korea, the Korean Peninsula, reunification and strategy within East Asia as a whole.

By utilizing a four-point framework - sanctions, engagement, internal transformation, and deterrence - the site aims to collect reliable data based on its North Korea strategy and theoretical views on North Korea's nuclear weapons strategy, while it also intends to systematically analyze them to provide a systematic view and analysis of the situations that occur each time. In addition, this website comprehensively reviews the analysis presented by various foreign policy research institutes and presents a distinct South Korean perspective as an alternative to mainstream views.  Read more about the Global North Korea.
