[JEAS] Volume 18, Issue 2
"The Second Issue of 2018 Has Been Released!"

EAI has released the second volume of its academic journal, JEAS, for 2018. The most recent issue of the JEAS leads with an important contribution on Singapore’s electoral system and voting trends by Steven Oliver and Kai Ostwald exploring the reasons behind the long rule of the People’s Action Party. Wonjun Song and Joseph Wright offer a comparative perspective on North Korea’s autocracy, and Justin Hastings and Yaohui Wang look at informal trade along the North Korea-China border. Dongwook Kim shows that efforts by authoritarian regimes to limit penetration by international NGOs impact human rights reporting on the region, and Joe Amick explores patronage among the poor in Indonesian elections. With this issue, JEAS expands to publishing six articles and includes a research note on the effects of piracy in Southeast Asia by Giacomo Morabito and Bruno Sergi. pc   mobile
