Smart Q&A: Jihwan Hwang
|
|
On March 16, 2012, North Korea announced that it would be launching a satellite into orbit in violation of UN resolution prohibiting against ballistic missile-related activities. This announcement also came only two weeks after reaching a deal with the United States in which North Korea stated that it would be willing to pursue denuclearization and place a moratorium on further missile and nuclear test. In this Smart Q&A interview, Professor Jihwan Hwang of the University of Seoul discussed on North Korea's motivations and the impact this will have on China, South Korea, and the United States.
