The was funded by the East Asia Institute and was hosted by the Korean Association of International Studies on July 12. Designed to provide a forum that introduces and discusses newly published major political science and social science literature, this webinar series aims to raise the interest of domestic and international academic writing, as well as to provide opportunities to share various questions and opinions. "A Region of Regimes" by T.J. Pempel was introduced in the recent webinar. Professor Jiyeoun Song (Yonsei University), Wang Hwi Lee (Ajouo University), and Professor Joo-Youn Jung (Korea University) have participated in the discussion moderated by Professor Yul Sohn (Yonsei University).

In this webinar, the author identifies and analyzes the politico-economic development models of Asian states, and explains the impacts of these policy directions on regional security and economy. In the following panel discussion, he exchanges his opinions with the panel members regarding the variables that could induce change within the regime and China’s future under the leadership of Xi Jinping.
