As part of the Asia Democracy Research Network project, the East Asia Institute (EAI) participated in the Bali Civil society and Media Forum 2021. Professor Jung Kim from Kyung Nam University represented ADRN by participating as a speaker in Session 2, “Report from the field: Global Health Injustice and the Problem of Power.” Experts had an in-depth discussion on (1) how to address global health injustice, including the access to COVID-19 vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics, (2) how to ensure equality and inclusiveness for the poor and vulnerable in attaining global health justice, and (3) if it is possible to democratize and address the injustices of global what lesson learned can be obtained from the pandemic experience.
