EAI와 하바드대학교 아시아센터가 공동으로 연구를 진행하고 있는 <박정희 시대>는 EAI 한국정치사연구의 첫번째 시리즈이다. 본 연구의 목표는 한국의 정치경제에 대해 논리적인 일관성을 갖춘, 그리고 역사와 이론이 통합된 분석틀을 만들어 내는 것이다. 국제학술교류의 장에서 연구 성과를 공유하기 위해 <박정희 시대>의 집필진은 미국정치학회 연례학술회의의 두 가지 프로그램에 참여하였다. 그 중 한 팀은 Association of Korea Political Studies in North America (AKPSNA)가 개최하는 회의의 패널을 구성하였다.
