Expert Seminar with Prof. Timur Dadabaev

EAI held an Expert Seminar as part of the EAI Fellows Program on December 7, 2017 with Professor Timur Dadabaev, University of Tsukuba, Japan. As indicated in the title, “Contested Nature of the Silk Road in Central Asia,” Professor Dadabaev raised the issue of diplomatic strategy of South Korea, Japan, and China toward the Central Asia region. He compared the each country’s CA diplomacy with the title of “Silk Road strategy” in its formation, implementation, and its policy impact on domestic and foreign affairs. Panelists were focused on South Korean case in its building of Silk Road diplomacy and current connotation in its relation with the CA countries.
