On May 24-25 2021, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) hosted the Council of Councils Tenth Annual Conference online. Prof. Yul Sohn (President, EAI), Prof. Sook Jong Lee (Senior Fellow, EAI), Prof. Chaesung Chun (Chair, National Security Research Center, EAI), Prof. Seungjoo Lee (Chair, Trade, Technology and Transformation Research Center, EAI) attended the annual conference as the EAI delegation. At the conference, participants discussed nuclear proliferation, multilateralism of the Biden Administration, International cooperation regarding COVID-19 vaccines, and global trade governance
Since its creation in 2011 by the Council on Foreign Relations(CFR), EAI has participated in the Council of Councils as a founding member representing South Korea. By participating in annual dialogues with other CoC members, EAI contributes to discussions on effective policy responses to various issues, threats and opportunities, and helps to promote cooperation amongst international think tanks.
