EAI conducted a Smart Q&A with Kak-Soo Shin, former South Korean Ambassador to Japan and Ichiro Fujisaki, former Japanese Ambassador to the U.S. Ambassador Shin predicted that South Korea and Japan are well primed to join forces against the impact of neo-isolationism and protectionism in the Northeast Asian regional order. On the other hand, Ambassador Fujisaki predicted that the election in the U.S. will not have an effect on Korea-Japan relations.
