On January 25, the East Asia Institute (EAI) held a meeting with part of the Korean Peninsula Research Team from the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA). Professor Emeritus Okonogi Masao of Keio University led the Japanese team in a lively discussion with EAI researchers that ranged from the North Korean nuclear crisis to the prospects for the Moon administration's foreign policy. Researchers from both countries also exchanged views on potential policy solutions to the long-standing issues that face the Korea-Japan bilateral relationship.
