EAI held a joint workshop with the Brookings Institution entitled <New Frontiers of ROK-U.S. Cooperation in the Age of U.S.-China Strategic Competition> on Nov. 18, 2019. EAI and Brookings discussed various initiatives for the future of the Asia-Pacific region. In particular, researchers exchanged ideas about scenarios after the US presidential election in 2020. At the workshop, EAI and Brookings also shared their joint research plans for 2020 and 2021. The “Energy Cooperation Initiative in Asia Pacific” is the second project of the <Rising China and New Civilization in the Asia-Pacific> program, which is a three-year program(2018-2021) supported by the Hanssem DBEW Research Foundation.
