EAI Issue Briefing Bridging the Divide: South Korea's Role in Addressing Nuclear North Korea "Enforcing the Sanctions and Looking Beyond" The world was able to send North Korea a strong message in the wake of its fourth nuclear test in the form of the unanimously passed United Nations Security Council Resolution 2270. However, this cannot be the end of international cooperation on the North Korean nuclear issue as enforcement of the new stricter sanctions and negotiating a peaceful resolution for the Korean Peninsula are yet unresolved.
