Young-Sun Ha, EAI Chairman of the Board of Trustees, argues that North Korea is still using a nineteenth century perspective when crafting its vision of the future after reviewing the North Korea’s New Year address and statements following their fourth nuclear test. He suggests North Korea abandon its outdated “ambitious blueprint” and devise one more suitable for the twenty-first century based on economic development without nuclear weapons.
