동아시아연구원(원장 손열)은 두 번째 민주주의 협력 온라인 세미나 시리즈, ‘민주주의 원칙, 시험대에 오르다: 아시아 민주국가들의 팬데믹 대처법’을 개최하였습니다. 본 회의에서 EAI는 아시아민주주의연구네트워크(ADRN) 멤버들과 함께 코로나19 팬데믹이 민주주의에 어떤 도전 과제를 던지고 있는지를 살펴보았으며, 팬데믹이 민주주의에 끼치는 부정적 영향과 공공 안전과 민주주의 원칙 간 균형을 꾀하는 방법에 대하여 논의하였습니다.
