As part of the Asia Democracy Research Network (ADRN) project, the East Asia Institute (EAI) held a luncheon meeting on August 5, 2022 to discuss Korea-U.S. cooperation issues and areas where Korea can contribute to restoring global democracy. The event was attended by U.S. participants as part of Sunnylands Seoul, including the National Institute of Democracy (NDI) and the Foundation for Democracy Promotion (NED), as well as lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties of the Republic of Korea. Participants discussed in-depth areas where Korea can contribute to the restoration of global democracy and issues that Korea can cooperate with the United States on.
